Holy shit, this song. I couldn’t wait to buy this on vinyl and now that it’s available on streaming, I have no choice but to buy it. If you are not convinced about this song by just the title or at least the first few moments of the song, undoubtedly it is because you are not listening closely enough. This is a complex orchestral blend of post-everything that has been created specifically to not really be listened to. There are so many audible layers it is hard to find one that wins out over another. I just kinda like the more vague layers because I can get distracted by listening to them while driving. As a side note, I listened to this song again on the gramophone (Shazam, I’m looking at you), and the enthusiasm you get as this progresses is insane. Overall, this is the best version I have ever heard of this song, hands down. You gotta love that cello and violin.
Definitely the most far out [of a] lot on this record, although I’m not sure how far is far out enough if it gets you feeling strange.
This song also has a very smart and well orchestrated arrangement. I felt like it pulled you into the middle of the story, made you feel like you were actually living it as if you were there. Ah, this is one of those songs that I love so much, that I always have a hard time picking something to write about, and I seriously played this more than any other song on every single record. I have played it so much that afterwards, my daughter would call me a “dummy”, for playing it over and over again to her.
This is every one of my recommendations.
And so, as the time approached to pull the plug on my job and our dreams, I found myself reflecting on other circumstances in my own life that I had been struggling with, deciding whether their were feasible solutions, and then strategizing to make it happen.
My first instinct after I was given an offer by a new client was to accept, which I did despite my fears for the future.
